Adele will release her first album in six years next month, the British singer announced on social media on Wednesday, confirming that it will follow the pattern of her previous albums and named after the age at which she wrote it. Will: 30.
The 15-time Grammy winner broke the news in a Twitter post that included the cover of the upcoming album—a photo of her profile—and an explanation of the personal meaning of the release.

In the post, Adele reflected on the process of writing the album, which she said threw her into a “labyrinth of complete mess and internal turmoil” and spanned “the most turbulent period of my life”.
The singer, now 33, said she started writing the album three years ago, and it became like a comforting friend.
“I’ve learned a lot of truths about myself along the way,” Adele said. “I have let go of many layers, but have wrapped myself in new… I would even go so far as to say that I have never felt more peaceful in my life. And so, I am finally releasing this album. I’m ready to go out.”
