AIAB Announces Hearst as Corporate Partner

Wharton AI & Analytics for Business (AIAB) welcomes Hearst as its new Corporate Partner.

Hearst is a leading global, diversified information, services and media company with operations in 40 countries. AIAB will work closely with the newspaper department for its first project and then with the e-commerce team on the second project. The goal of the first project is to build a dynamic paywall that maximizes readership and subscriptions to the news websites of Hearst newspapers, including the San Francisco Chronicle, Houston Chronicle, San Antonio Express-News, Albany Times Union and Hearst Connecticut Media Group.

This spring, Hearst will participate in the AIAB’s flagship event, the Analytics Accelerator, where a team of Penn and Wharton students will analyze anonymized customer behavior data from its website to help Hearst increase its chances of membership.
