A service outage with some elements of Amazon.com’s Amazon Web Services is causing problems for several websites and online services on Tuesday.
aws status page The AWS Management Console shows problems with several services, including the AWS Support Center, AWS Elastic Compute Cloud, Amazon Connect (the company’s call-center offering), and Amazon (ticker: AMZN) Dynamo DB, the company’s database software service.

Downdetector shows the outage is affecting a range of consumer-facing Amazon services, including Amazon’s home page, Alexa, Amazon Prime Music and Amazon Prime Video. Other affected sites apparently include Coinbase Global (COIN), Chewy (CHWY), Roku (ROKU), Venmo, Walt Disney (DIS) Disney+ and FanDuel.
Amazon referred the inquiry on the outage to the AWS status page. “This will be updated regularly as we work to resolve the situation,” the company said. “Everything we know will be posted there.”
Amazon shares rose 2.8% to $3,524.07, amid a broader market rally.
