When a reporter asked if he was calling for Putin’s removal from office, Biden replied “no” as he walked out of the church Sunday afternoon, according to Bloomberg pool reporter Courtney Rozen.

“For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power,” Biden said of Putin during a speech Saturday in Warsaw, a comment some observers interpreted as a change in US policy, hours after he called the Russian president a “butcher” for his treatment of civilians during Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
