According to The Chinese National Health Commission, on Monday, reported 32 new locally acquired cases, 25 of them in the domestic tourism center of Dalian.

Monday’s tally brings the total number of new cases reported in the past 30 days to above 1,300, which is more than the 1,280 infections reported in China’s summer delta edition of the outbreak, according to Reuters.

While many provinces have managed to contain their outbreaks with rapid lockdown measures, Dalian continues to report an average of more than 24 cases a day since the first week of November.

A growing outbreak in the tourist hub has meant that people coming from the city to nearby areas now face a mandatory 14-day quarantine at a government facility.
