“It’s done,” Harris said Tuesday, speaking at an event, calling for fair and sensible public policy to ensure this never happens again.

Abbott said a shooter entered Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, a small town about 85 miles west of San Antonio, around noon local time and opened fire with a handgun, but was killed by police. After likely he is now dead.
