“I was blinded by the termination and categorically reject the claims made by [Executive Chairman Michael] Hams and Company,” Dr. Truong said in an emailed statement Monday morning in Australia.

James Hardy said Friday that Dr. Truong’s behavior was investigated following employee complaints and found he violated the company’s code of conduct “comprehensively and materially.”

The company said that it is looking forward to Dr. It will seek a new chief executive and appointed director Harold Wiens as interim CEO after Truong’s sacking.

“The Board provided clear feedback and advice on the impact that [Dr.] Truong’s behavior was being meted out to his colleagues on several occasions,” James Hardy said in an emailed statement later on Monday.
