2021 Ranking of “The World’s Best Employers” by Forbes It was revealed on Tuesday.
The trade magazine’s annual list, compiled in partnership with market research firm Statista, is based on surveys conducted among 150,000 full-time and part-time employees in 58 countries working for businesses with global operations.
Participants in the survey, which was conducted anonymously, were asked to rate their willingness to recommend their employers to family and friends.
The workers were also asked to rate other companies in their respective industries that stood out to them either positively or negatively.
They were also asked to rate their satisfaction with their employers’ response to the COVID-19 pandemic, scoring their companies based on “image, economic footprint, talent development, gender equality and social responsibility”. Forbes telling.
The 750 companies with the highest aggregate scores made the final cut for this year’s list.
This year’s list includes 236 US businesses, including 91 German companies as well as 57 employers in China. Forbes.
Engineering and construction firms claimed the bulk of the rankings. But technology companies, including Amazon, dominated the top 10, amid the company’s recent racial and pregnancy discrimination allegations and claims of pay disparities.
Ardeen Williams, vice president of workforce development at Amazon, told Forbes: “We are fully committed to an employee population that can best serve our customers.”
Major retailers on the list are Target, which climbed 117 places from last year’s list, according to Forbes.
The top 10 rankings of the 2020 list were dominated by technology and electronics companies, including South Korean electronics giant Samsung, which topped the list. LG was the other major South Korean electronics brand that made it to the fifth spot in last year’s list.
The rest of the 2020 list was dominated by six US companies, including Amazon (2nd), Microsoft (3rd), IBM (4th), Apple (6th), Adobe (7th) and Alphabet (eighth), California-based tech giants. Group
