Geek+ is a Business Reporter client
Having only entered the wider European market in 2019, Geek+ has successfully rolled out projects in over 30 countries, including more than a dozen in the UK alone, with major retailers, e-commerce service providers and third-party logistics players. Warrington, along with Dusseldorf, San Diego, Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong and Singapore, is opening Geek+’s regional headquarters.
Brian Lee, head of Geek+ in Europe and the UK, said: “This is a significant day in the development of Geek+. The UK is home to some of our most exciting projects, including large-scale automated parcel sorting and the deployment of robotics across multiple sites. Logistics operators here, and retailers in particular, are recognizing the revolutionary value that autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) bring and are looking to modernize their operations. We are glad that we have a full-fledged office to serve our clients. We look forward to welcoming everyone to our new home in the UK.”
The Sci-Tech Daresbury Business Park is the perfect location for Geek+ as the company joins some of the most exciting and innovative companies in the UK. The new headquarters will have at least 30 Geek+ employees (known internally as “Geekers”).
Simon Houghton, head of sales and marketing at Geek+, said: “I have been on this journey with Geek+ for three years and have seen exciting projects across the country. This office and its showroom gives us a central hub where we can show people what we do and how our AMRs can take their business to the next level.”
The demo center, open to all visitors, is the hallmark of the new office and includes an AMR kit from Geek+. Robots showing off their skills are the flagship picking robot P-800, which is best suited for communicating inventory with warehouse workers; the award-winning RoboShuttle for building high-density storage solutions; and the S-20C, a sorting robot capable of connecting disparate elements of a production or distribution line.
Sci-Tech Daresbury now boasts another world leading company as part of the community. The Geek+ UK team looks forward to seeing everyone who comes to see the innovations that will make logistics in the UK a safer, brighter and more efficient future.
