In fact, a new study by communications company BCW of 13,488 people in 15 countries identified what matters most to people in their work experience. These statistics are interesting, but what does it really mean and how can we protect our careers? Within the workforce, this change in attitude has seen people who previously enjoyed the rise of the gig economy and are now working freelance, who want to take their skills at home, into larger, more secure, companies. . Many of those who participate in The Great Regeneration are experiencing The Great Regret, and are trying to go to bed and choose safety over progress and stay with their new employer. Huh.

In the immediate aftermath of Covid, workers were looking to take advantage of the hot labor market, with 40% admitting they would change jobs within the next 12 months. And, despite the global slowdown, recent research from Gartner shows that the sector will continue to grow with spikes in cloud computing and consulting.

What does this mean for you? If you’re concerned about your current role or the longevity of the company, it may be time to explore opportunities in companies that operate within that space. The transition is easier for those with tech or cloud experience, but that doesn’t mean only tech professionals can take advantage of the development.
