J&J Snack Foods Corp. said Friday that it is expanding its slate of directors to seven members from five by appointing Chief Executive Dan Fachner and industry veteran Roy Jackson to the board.
Mr. Fachner began serving as president of the snack and frozen beverage company in May 2020, having previously led its Icee Co. subsidiary since 1997. He was tapped to replace founder and current board chairman Gerald Shreiber as CEO in May 2021.
Mr. Jackson has been in the foodservice industry for 25 years, with senior-level roles at PepsiCo, YUM Brands Inc. and Coca-Cola Co. until his retirement in 2018. He recently served as executive vice president of development and industry relations for the National Restaurant Association.
“Dan’s proven vision and leadership will be critical to the continued growth and success of the company,” Vince Melchiorre, chair of the company’s nominating and corporate governance committee, said in a statement. “Roy’s unmatched foodservice and operational experience, coupled with his extensive industry relationships, will further bolster the company’s already strong customer relationships across the industry.”
