Lupine’s solution is an app that brings all that important context together in one place to make it quick and easy to access. The app sits on top of the diary in which your meetings are held, but can also pull in data from other workplace tools such as Slack, Zoom, Asana and Trello.

The goal is that Lupine will act as a one-stop-shop for all the knowledge you need when you have a meeting on a given topic or with a specific person. It will mine your other devices to feed you, for example, what was discussed in the last meeting, relevant information that was shared with you before and after, and notes you made after the last conversation. The founders hope they’ve developed a killer app for workplace productivity — but it’s relatively early days for the company. For the past eight months, it has been beta testing the product with about 450 businesses using it for free; Their feedback has enabled Lupine to test and refine its platform. Now the company is nearing a full-scale commercial launch — and to begin its monetization strategy.

Initially, Lupine will be offered for free, but the founders plan to move to a subscription-based freemium model. They will offer a basic version of the app at no cost, but will charge users who opt for the enhanced functionality. The company’s primary target market is enterprise customers purchasing the app for employees, but the free version may also appeal to individual buyers.

Indeed, co-founder Mehul Doody is convinced that the company has struck something with wide appeal. “Lupine provides a source of truth for collating results, creating a second brain for meetings,” he says. “It increases the accountability of the team and saves at least the first 10 minutes of every meeting, what was discussed last, who is doing what and so on.”

The company’s investors think it could be a winning formula. Lupine has raised approximately $820,000 in capital to date, primarily from venture capital firm Venture Highway, but also from some angel investors.
