A 17-year-old male student at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida was arrested Thursday after threatening a mass shooting at a school at the site of the infamous 2018 massacre, days after a deadly school shooting in Michigan.

The Broward County Sheriff’s Office was reportedly alerted to the threat at around 11 p.m. Wednesday and arrested the student on Thursday.

According to Miami Herald, the student has been accused of threatening to write to carry out the mass shooting.

The arrest comes just days after four students were killed in a shooting at Oxford High School near Detroit, where authorities have arrested a 15-year-old and charged him with terrorism and first-degree murder.
