However, ideally, interested buyers should be prepared to deal with a huge number of pedestrians it comes from fans of the Goonies, which has irritated members of the community at times. In 2015, when crowds of fans broke into the house for the 30th anniversary of the film, the owner closed the house and draped blue tarps over its parts.

The Rube Goldberg-like entry mechanism is not included, but the sloping lawn and front porch look the same as they did 37 years ago.

The attic with the retractable ladder where the characters find the treasure map is also still recognizable from its depiction in the film. Now it’s a cozy bedroom. There are two bathrooms; the entire offering covers just under 2,000 square feet.

Also up for sale is an adjacent three-bedroom house that appears very briefly in the film. He is also represented by Miller and asks for $550,000.

In other Stooges-related news this year, the missing 17th-century ship that inspired the film was found in Oregon this past June.
