More than 600,000 people watched online as a US Air Force plane carrying House Speaker Nancy Pelosi entered Taiwanese airspace on Tuesday night according to the tracking service FlightRadar24.

After leaving Kuala Lumpur earlier on Tuesday afternoon, a US Air Force Boeing C-40 aircraft flew across South East Asia—avoiding the South China Sea.

The flight initially did not display a destination on FlightRadar24's tracker but it has since been updated to show Songshan Airport in Taipei.

The flight path of the aircraft whose call sign appears as SPAR19 has garnered a lot of attention online with more than 620,000 people following it live on FlightRadar's website.

The high interest in the tracker has forced FlightRadar24 has set up an online “waiting room” for new users trying to access the tracking info claiming it is facing “usual volumes” of traffic right now.
