Pfizer CFO Frank D’Amelio to retire

(Businesshala) – Pfizer Inc said on Wednesday that Frank D’Amelio, chief financial officer and executive vice president of global supply, will retire after nearly 15 years at the company.

The drugmaker said it has started an external search for D’Melio’s successor.

During his tenure as CFO, D’Melio, 63, oversaw the divestment of Pfizer’s animal health, consumer health and mature products businesses and led several acquisitions and partnerships valued at approximately $200 billion.

Mike McDermott, who led Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine production and supply, will take the role of executive vice president, chief global supply officer, the company said.
