The company said online brokerage Robinhood will allow most of its employees to work remotely on a permanent basis blog post Wednesday, it’s making the latest tech business move away from an office-centric approach.

The Menlo Park, California-based company said that “a large section” of employees will have no location-based or regular office requirements, but teams will still meet in person occasionally for “critical experiences.”

Some teams will need to be within commuting distance from an office for “regulatory and business reasons”, while a smaller group will still need to be in the office.

According to the blog post, the plans were initially shared with Robinhood employees in December.
