STUART VARNEY: The events of January 6, 2021 are long gone, but the Democrats want to keep them in the spotlight right now.

They think it gives them political advantage for elections in three weeks. January 6th was a disgrace and an investigation was justified.

But the investigation, which is still ongoing, is simply wrong. For starters, the investigative panel is made up of seven Democrats and two Republicans opposed to Trump. It’s just not fair, isn’t it?

LARRY KUDLOW: BIDEN PRESIDENCE LOST IN LESS THAN A YEAR

Over the summer, more than a year after the event, prime-time televised hearings took place. Another thing happened yesterday.

They wanted a repeat of Watergate hearings that ended the presidency of Richard Nixon. But the hearings failed. Ratings that have never been so high are gone.

Mr. Trump is reported to be saying he looks likely to respond to the subpoena. This will lift the ratings, but may not go the way the Democrats would like.

The January 6 hearing was a show of hatred for Trump.

The Democrats kept him because he became their most important political asset.

Having failed in the economy, inflationenergy, crime, the border and education, all they could lean on was Trump.

STUART VARNEY: BIDEN’S ENERGY MALFUNCTION HAS ‘REALLY BAD CONSEQUENCES’

They tried to make abortion a key issue, but it didn’t quite work. So they are left to hate Trump.

I don’t think it will work. The Biden presidency is failing. Hating Trump will not bring him back to life.
